A four-legged duck in the Mekong province of Vinh Long swims and gathers food like any other member of its flock. But besides its two normal legs, the duck has two additional limbs, which have fully developed out of its rump. Though they are reportedly healthy and in good shape, the two extras are shorter than the others and do not touch the ground.
The 75-day-old animal is being raised by Nguyen Van Bay, 70, living Son Dong Commune, Long Ho District.
Bay said he bought 30 baby ducks over two months ago for their meat. At a party later, Bay was given the special animal as a gift.
It has lived and walked well since then, he said, adding that he is willing to give it to any collector of strange Vietnamese stories.
