Popular Singaporean actor and singer Edmund Chen is set to arrive in Vietnam on Sunday for a six-day trip promoting his first album to be released in the country alongside his latest film.Chen said he decided to release his album in Vietnam because it would give him the opportunity to revisit the beautiful country.
The album titled Yeu nhat nu cuoi cua em (I love your smile the most) is his 5th solo collection.
In an email sent to Thanh Nien, Edmund said he plans to release another album in Vietnam and perform live in the country next year.
Chen said when he came to Vietnam last year to shoot the feature film Saigon Nhat thuc (Saigon Eclipse), he had got along well with several talented Vietnamese counterparts.
Saigon Eclipse, which stars Chen alongside popular Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese actors under an overseas Vietnamese director will open its HCMC release in three days.
The film has recently won the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival Special Jury Prize and has been officially selected as among the best films at the Visual Communications Film Fest Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival this year.
