A famous television personality from Ho Chi Minh City and a dancer from central Danang city will represent Vietnam on a Chinese women’s television show, Jinhua, or Golden Flowers May 11-18.HCMC Television presenter Quynh Giang and dancer Gia Linh from the Hoi An Cultural Center will be among the beautiful and talented women representing ten ASEAN nations at Jinhua’s annual ASEAN showcase.
The weekly show, one of China’s most popular women’s shows from the Guangxi region, highlights the culture of ASEAN nations once a year by having beautiful women from the countries sing and dance on stage. The event aims to boost cultural exchanges between China and ASEAN while boosting mutual friendships throughout the bloc.
Quynh Giang will sing the song Duyen dang ao hoa (Charming Ao dai), composed by Vietnamese musician Minh Chau, while Gia Linh will perform Vietnamese traditional dancing.
Vietnamese audiences can enjoy Jinhua by tuning into Quynh Giang’s regularly scheduled HCMC Television program Tu Bon Phuong Troi (From Around the World), which will broadcast the Chinese program live from the exotic Indonesian island of Bali next week.
