Vietnamese pop-icon My Linh has superimposed her voice over Mozart and Bach in Chat with Mozart, which will be issued in Japan by an American company in September, said one of the album’s producers.

Musician Huy Tuan said the album would be released by the New York-based M&I Recording firm.

Chat with Mozart was released in Vietnam in 2005 and was chosen as Best Album of 2005 by some journalists.

The album includes classical music by Mozart, Bach, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi.

Singer My Linh has recorded lyrics written by well-known Vietnamese songwriter Duong Thu over the masterpieces.

Earlier some individuals accused the album’s producers of having infringed on copyright laws.

However, the Ministry of Culture and Information’s Copyright Office recently said the derivation of the world classics is legal. The terms of protection is the life of the author and fifty years after his or her death, according to the Berne Convention.
