The France-based Fashion TV cruise ship F-Diamond will throw a New Year’s Eve party in Ho Chi Minh City during its trip here in preparation to promote Vietnam’s tourism, an FTV representative said Monday.
The party will last from 9 p.m. on December 31, 2007 until the morning of the first and include many fashion shows performed by 40 models who were finalists in the Miss FTV 2007 contest. The winner of the Miss FTV 2007 contest will be announced during the party, FTV representative Uzi Garty told the press conference.
More than 10 Vietnamese models will join the party and participate in fashion performances with ao dai (traditional tunic) and evening dress collections by Vietnamese designers.
The program will air on the FTV channel starting on January 2, Garty added.
Regarding the tourism promotion plan, FTV will broadcast clips featuring Ha Long Bay and Vietnamese models on the FTV channel. The clips will be produced by Saigontourist, a Vietnamese tourist company, and will be sent to FTV within the next three to four weeks.
F-Diamond will return to Vietnam in later February to continue promoting Vietnam’s tourism.
